came across this. true, true. to put it in a nutshell.."if you dont have anything good to say, dont say anything at all." no, i dont expect people( especially those blessed with such kesuburan that they have this tagline "klu tak mkn ubat je mesti sangkut" embedded on their forehead) to understand how i feel. but there is no need to be inappropriately witty towards the whole thing. it's hard enough to explain to them that the IVF is not cheap (and why it is not)....please spare me from having to tell them the procedures of IVF. If it is just to kill the awkward time (to ask me about it), then dont ask anything. what i need is A SHOULDER TO CRY ON and LISTENING EARS.
by the way, here are some thoughtful remarks i have received
"lama ek...sapa yang ada problem?" as if i want to spill rahsia rumahtangga to you.
"la..ssh gak eh..aku ni lain plak...asal terlepas ubat je mesti sangkut! subur sgt!" yeah...and look at your brats..all of them just a year apart from each other. Lepas tu org lain kena jaga anak kau.
"dah jumpa doktor?" kenapa? nak tolong bayar bil?
"takpe..kumpul harta dulu" mcm kau yg gelang dah penuh setengah lengan tu?
"ala, dah tujuh tahun dah...dah lali dgr org kata mcm2" sapa kata dah lali? aku cuma lebih berani utk tiau kau depan2 je.
"kau lain la...takde anak bleh la siapkan kerja..aku ni ada anak kecik, ssh nak tolong kat sklh" ye la...jual la nama anak kau tu.
alahai manusia. cukup2 la tu...beri sokongan bukan gosip murahan, okay? :)
